Software Quality Analyst I | Chennai

OVERVIEW

The Associate Software Quality Analyst I support the Trial Interactive Product Management team in achieving goals while while gaining hands-on experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Through structured training and real-world project exposure, the Associate Software Quality Analyst develops the skills necessary to contribute effectively to software quality initiatives. The position also serves as a pathway for potential future opportunities within the Trial Interactive Software Quality Engineering team at TransPerfect.

DESCRIPTION

• Develop an understanding of project requirements and assist in preparing and updating test cases aligned with the Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM).

• Execute manual test cases for functional and regression testing under supervision.

• Participate in reviews of test scripts and related Software Quality Assurance (SQA) documentation.

• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and release managers to ensure product quality and timely delivery.

• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective Maintain proper documentation of test execution results and assist in preparing test summary reports.

• Learn and apply SQA methodologies, tools, and best practices in daily tasks.

• Assist in preparing validation documentation in compliance with regulatory standards such as GxP, 21 CFR Part 11.

• Coordinate effectively with distributed global teams to support cross-functional initiatives.

• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and other testing activities as required.

• Complete all other tasks that are deemed appropriate for this role and assigned by the manager/supervisor.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Demonstrates a basic understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Agile methodologies.

• Knowledge of software testing concepts and defect life cycle.

• Contribute to continuous process improvement and SQA best practices.

• Eagerness to learn domain-specific regulations such as GxP and 21 CFR Part 11.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• • Minimum Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent in Computer Science or related field.

• Good understanding of databases and SQL for data validation.

• Exposure to the clinical research or healthcare domain.

• Demonstrates a proactive approach to learning and staying updated on new technologies and industry trends.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and work effectively across time zones.

• At least 1 year of testing experience in Web and/or Mobile applications is preferred.

• Ability to work well in a team-oriented setting with minimum guidance Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB Foundation Level).
