Job description
The SQA Lead is responsible for leading the quality assurance efforts across multiple projects or product lines, ensuring that software applications meet the highest standards of quality, compliance, and performance.
This role involves hands-on testing, test planning, test Automation, mentoring QA team members, and coordinating with cross-functional teams. The SQA Lead serves as the bridge between SQA Analysts and Management, driving test strategy, process improvements, and effective defect management.

Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of QA analysts (Junior and Senior) in planning, execution, and reporting of QA activities.
Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans aligned with project requirements and timelines, also defines test objectives, scope, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
Strong knowledge in Test cases Design and Review, actively involving in the execution of manual and automated tests, including functional, regression and Integration Testing in Web and/or Mobile applications, also balancing risk-based testing approaches
Analyze test results, identify defects, and ensure timely resolution, Report on testing progress, coverage, and quality metrics to stakeholders.
Ensure QA deliverables comply with regulatory standards (21 CFR Part 11, GxP, ICH guidelines) where applicable.
Coordinate test environment setup, data preparation, and test execution activities
Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Developers and Release Manager to ensure that the application development is according to the quality assurance standards and on time
Lead defect triage meetings and ensure timely resolution of critical issues
Mentor junior and senior QA team members, promoting best practices in testing, documentation, and compliance.
Contribute to process improvements by identifying gaps in QA lifecycle and implementing solutions
Support UAT planning and execution with business stakeholders
Ensure readiness for audits and regulatory inspections by maintaining QA documentation
Complete any other tasks that are deemed appropriate for the role assigned by the manager/supervisor
Job requirements
Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Higher degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Life Sciences, or a related field
5+ years of testing experience in Web and/or Mobile applications, with at least 1-2 years in a lead role
Experience in leading QA teams (onshore/offshore) and coordinating distributed teams
Hands-on expertise with test management and defect management tools (e.g., Jira, Testiny, Testrail, HP ALM, Zephyr)
Hands on experience in automation frameworks (Selenium, Specflow, TestNG, JUnit, or similar)
Excellent Communication, documentation and Analytical skills
Demonstrates a basic understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies, and core software testing principles and concepts
Strong knowledge in Test cases design and Review, Test execution and Reporting.
Proactive in driving continuous improvement within QA processes
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI) and integrating automated tests
Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
Strong background in risk-based testing and test metrics reporting.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Desired Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
Understanding of regulatory standards (21 CFR Part 11, GxP, GDPR) if working in clinical/life sciences domain.
Certifications like ISTQB (Foundation or Advanced levels), or other Test Management credentials are preferred
Exposure to AI tools to create and update testcases
Prior involvement in regulatory audits or inspection readiness activities.
