Overview

A senior technical architect will be the engineer responsible for the successful operation of a team of software engineers. This engineer will make architectural decisions, plan and help implement large enterprise software applications.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure smooth working of a team of software engineers.

  • Complete software projects on time and within initial requirements.

  • Conduct interviews and screening calls of potential future team members.

  • Communicate well with adjacent team members and team leads (QA, Design, Product)

  • Perform software engineer duties when time allows and stay current with relevant technological advancements.

  • Make architectural decisions for enterprise applications and advise other software engineers on planning and architecture.

Required experience and qualifications

  • JavaScript HTML CSS (5 years)

  • Interviewing potential candidates for the team

  • Experience working on enterprise software projects.

  • Architecting web services and web applications

  • Understanding and implementation of the software development lifecycle

  • 4-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Desired skills and experience

  • TypeScript

  • Vue.js or similar framework

  • Customer facing communication experience.

  • OAuth

  • Azure DevOps feature stack

  • SDLC

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual salary (8M-15M JPY, negotiable based on experience and interview performance)

  • Transportation allowance (up to JPY 30,000 per month)

Working Hours & Holidays

  • Monday to Friday, 8 working hours between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM, plus a 1-hour break

  • 2 days off per week (weekends and public holidays)

Employment Type

  • Fixed-term contract in the first year (including a 6-month probation period), with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent position from the second year upon mutual agreement

  • During the contract period, salary, social insurance, and paid leave are equivalent to those of permanent employees
