Overview:
The Junior Project Manager is a key player for high-visibility accounts at TransPerfect Montreal. Your mandate will be to oversee accounts and their projects, which are tailored as business solutions for enterprise clients. Having direct contact with end-clients, you will represent them within our operations and serve as an extension of their brand. You will oversee all related assets, serve as direct liaison to linguistic teams dedicated to those accounts, and ensure proper information dissemination to anyone working on the accounts falling under your purview. Although this role has no direct reports, you will be involved in offering training, and daily support and oversight to some Project Managers.
Description:
· Manage a portfolio of higher visibility accounts and their projects by either directly managing or providing oversight.
· Prior to initiating project workflow, liaise with Account Executives to ensure that the client’s expectations have been clearly understood; identify critical missing information that would affect the quality and/or service delivery.
· Coordinate with Account Executives to educate/advise clients regarding the best way to accomplish their goals for individual projects and for departments as a whole – contacting clients directly if needed.
· Responsible for managing the day-to-day of small and large projects throughout their life-cycle, including: planning, executing, budget management, vendor management, quality assurance, delivery, and updating Management as needed.
· In collaboration with Linguistic Department representatives, oversee all reference materials/glossaries provided by the client to maximize consistency and quality.
· Identify and document best practices for managing large accounts under your purview.
· Follow the processes and procedure required to ensure consistent successful delivery of all projects for each account.
· Provide pertinent information transfer regarding any account/project status
· Work with Account Executives to help manage the end-client’s expectations; manage escalated issues and quality investigations as they arise.
· Build relationships with your key stakeholders and their internal and external representatives.
· Make recommendations to your manager on ways to improve service delivery as part of TPT-Montreal’s commitment to continual improvement.
Job requirements
Required Skills:
· Fluent in English and French.
· Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
· Ability to communicate in a succinct manner in order to explain complex problems to different audiences.
· Strong ability to communicate at all levels of the organization; comfortable in client meetings.
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize activities on a daily basis to accomplish goals.
· Ability to support multiple accounts and manage shifting priorities, while keeping accurate track of each project within.
· Ability to see the big picture and to consolidate work to improve in efficiency.
· Willing to learn new technology, open to new challenges and thrive on success.
· Positive attitude in the face of change, client-centered mind-set and pro-active approach to problem avoidance and resolution.
· Ability to maintain professionalism and focus under pressure and tight deadlines.
· Have a good relationship with the different teams in order to optimize the efficiency of the project cycle, such as the language team, sales, trainers, etc.)

· Be curious about how projects work and all the tools that will make the project a success.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
· Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a related area of expertise.
· Experience in project management in the Translation industry is a plus.
· Prior experience with standard translation management tools is considered an asset (Idiom, Trados, Wordfast, SDLX, Catalyst…).
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office formats, such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook.
