JOB DESCRIPTION

Expected duties and responsibilities to be performed under the supervision of a Senior Project Manager

  1. Engages with key stakeholders, product managers and team members to define version scope, work priorities, timelines, and product specific requirements.

  2. Collaborates with team members and product managers to dissect if stakeholders' requirements are made logical, feasible and risk-free (as much as meaningfully possible).

  3. Solicits, analyses, discuses and negotiates feature specifications with team members, product managers and key stakeholders to help define what, how and by when a functionality needs to be implemented and delivered.

  4. Formalizes team protocols and complies related necessary documentation.

  5. Liaises, streamlines and facilitates direct, honest, transparent and timely communication between all the parties involved in the development process to relay crucial updates, maintain absolute alignment & focus, and help resolve conflicts and solve problems.

  6. Monitors and addresses product's Intra- and Inter-dependencies, as well as Risks. Assists with tracking, communicating, escalating, alarming and executing corresponding prevention, deflection, and/or mitigation strategies.

  7. Regularly manages and updates Agile Artifacts and other project management tools (such as: Issue Board, Product Backlog, Release Scope, Weekly Reports, Knowledge Base, etc.).

  8. Organizes and conducts Agile Ceremonies (such as: Daily Standups, Defect Triages, Feature Planning, Weekly Synchronizations, etc.).

  9. Assists in establishing optimal work distribution, making sure all team members have adequate tasks prepared, arranged (per relative urgency and importance), and assigned to each of them.

  10. Fosters collaboration, improves team health & dynamics, and motivates team members to successfully develop valuable solutions. Helps the team achieve business-wide awareness, self-organization, maturity, reliability, and other key characteristics of a high performing team.

  11. Employs critical, system and design thinking to address everyday issues, resolve misunderstandings & misalignments, eliminate hinderances & obstacles, protect the team from unproductive disturbances, and mediate conflicts.

  12. Reacts aptly to shifts in the planned project scope or timeline, identifies related issues and their root causes, and helps the team to properly adjust & adapt to any and all project changes.

  13. Tracks down team’s progress on a daily basis, compiles relevant reports and utilizes analytics & statistics to ensure crucial decisions are both well-informed and data-driven.

  14. Closely monitors results of the product testing effort, and actively assists the team in amending critical defects.

  15. Adheres to and promotes operations and patterns prescribed by the Agile Methodology, and coaches on adopting and nurturing tried-and-true Agile practices.

  16. Constantly and proactively strives to improve and optimize working procedures and processes.

  17. Performs other tasks upon request of the Employer.

 

Job requirements

Education: 

  • High school of four years is required.

  • BSCS and similar college degree is highly desired.

 

Must-have requirements:

  • Fluency in English is a must; 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (both in Serbian and in English, verbal and non-verbal);

  • Highly developed personal professional traits: attention to details, accuracy, precision, responsibility, reliability, efficiency, effectiveness, adaptability, proactivity, etc.;

  • Exceptional organizational and other relevant soft skills such as: time management, scheduling, prioritization, goal-setting, planning, decision-making, collaboration, conflict resolution, etc.;

  • Knowledge and understanding of Agile Methodology concepts, practices and vocabulary;

  • Team-oriented managerial skills required for performing difficult conversations and negotiations, feedback sessions, performance reviews, etc.;

  • Ability to work in a team, and to perform in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.

 

Desirable traits and achievements:

  • Previous experience of working in an Agile team developing software solutions;

  • Any of the Agile Methodology following certifications:

  1. Role based: SM, PO/BO, PDM, etc.

  2. Framework based: Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.;

  • Notable systems-thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Relentless motivation to learn, improve and acomplish

  • Knowledge and understanding of Agile Methodology concepts, practices and vocabulary;
