Job description

Oversee global and fast-paced foreign filing projects for our clients. Implement standardized processes within our IP department that support client, project, and business needs in IP asset management and maintenance. A fundamental aspect of this role is the ability to drive efficiencies for the success of our clients and execute global IP annuities and renewals processes. The IP administrator will work closely with their manager to drive bigger picture initiatives and make sure all projects are running smoothly. The work is focused on designated, strategic client accounts.


Responsibilities

  • Direct projects successfully to meet client schedules, internal processes, and quality requirements

  • Oversee foreign filing projects to ensure they are supported through correspondence, tracking, and maintenance of records

  • Oversee governance of administrative execution of patent and trademark annuities and renewals processes

  • Lead foreign filing and maintenance communications externally and internally to coordinate across client, hosting, technology, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals are met

  • Work consistently to achieve ideal service goals

Job requirements

Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Background of 4+ years in IP project management with experience in a similar patent or IP legal role highly preferred

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, proficiency with IP-specific processes and terminology, including LPMS, IPMS, and docketing software

  • Demonstrated analytical skills for managing complex projects alongside project managers and process leads

  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines for a globally-based team

  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) in English

  • Ability to maintain professionalism in all situations, especially under tight deadlines

  • Proficient in MS Office suite

Desired Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Strong project management skills with a commitment to intellectual property services and governance

  • Fluency in a foreign language preferred, but not required
