Job description

As a Project Coordinator for Interpretation Services you will serve as support to existing clients and manage

and coordinate the completion of interpretation and language assessments projects. This is a dynamic role

where you work closely with the clients as well as the sales teams to ensure the highest quality of standard

for all projects you oversee.

Position responsibilities:

  • Consult and educate Sales team and clients regarding language assessments options and the coordination process.

  • Liaise with clients and Sales team to ensure that individual projects are set up appropriately.

  • Oversee the execution of projects with keen attention to detail, resulting in a successful meeting or assessment.

  • Manage all logistical matters related to interpretation meetings and language assessments from beginning to end, working with clients, language raters and interpreters.

  • Ensure deadlines are met with the interpreters and language raters according to projects

  • Comply with internal regulations, processes and procedures in line with ISO standards.

  • Discuss issues with clients, Sales team, language raters and interpreters, and creatively problem solve to alleviate issues, including trouble-shooting problem projects or events.

  • Juggle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

  • Understand and abide by individual project instructions.

  • Establish and maintain excellent relationships with contract interpreters, language raters, Sales team and clients.

  • Negotiate rates on a broad scale or on a project by project basis with contract vendors.

  • Clearly and effectively communicate any issues/updates/caveats or additional information to Sales team or clients as soon as that information is available.

Job requirements

Essential skills and experience required:

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, other languages would be an asset

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • University Degree

  • Minimum 1 year of professional experience in a similar position in corporate environment

  • Detail orientation with the ability to multitask

  • Ability to meet deadlines

  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

  • Independence in carrying out assigned tasks

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

  • Highly-developed computer skills (MS Office: Excel and Outlook specifically)

  • Experience in project management would be a strong advantage
