Freelance Technical Translator (French, APAC Region)

Your Role: As a freelance translator, you will work on a diverse array of technical documents in two main domains:

Domain 1 (Source: Chinese)

• Automotive (including owner/user manuals)

• User Operation (UO)

• User Experience (UX)

Domain 2 (Source: English)

• Electronics

• Information Technology (consumer-facing materials, software UI, Doc/Help-UA)

• Manufacturing/Industrial (consumer-facing and specialist guidelines)

What You’ll Do:

• Translate and/or post-edit technical materials from Chinese or English into French

• Ensure translations are accurate, contextually appropriate, and of high quality

• Meet productivity targets, with an expected MTPE output of 600 words per hour

Who We’re Looking For:

• Experienced technical translator with solid background in at least one of the listed domains

• Native-level fluency in French and strong command of English and/or Chinese

• Familiarity with MTPE processes and translation software/tools is a strong plus

• Based in the APAC region

• Ability to consistently deliver quality work within deadlines
