Position Summary:

 

We are looking for an Account Manager to join our Sales team. This person will be responsible for serving as the first level of support to existing clients, principally within the Pharmaceutical industry.

Their main focus is to manage and grow existing accounts to drive increased revenue and to add value to our clients´ companies. On the side, they will also be expected to manage the full sales cycle from prospection to onboarding of new clients and consequent ongoing account management of these accounts.

 

Position responsibilities:

  • Develop an effective understanding of the capability, benefits and competitive advantages of TransPerfect’s services

  • Identify prospective customers and individual organizations to focus on sales activities

  • Develop new client relationships via cold calling, internet, and trade shows

  • In coordination with Sales Management, identify, qualify, develop and close sales opportunities

  • Promote and educate clients regarding TransPerfect’s services

  • Provide customer support and manage client expectations in liaison with the Production team

  • Manage and control pricing and contractual issues by developing a thorough understanding of company procedures

  • Cross-sell and upsell various services and solutions into various departments within the client´s company with an eye to optimize account profitability

  • Take an active role in learning about each client’s industry, business needs and company culture to identify new business opportunities and provide a high level of service

  • Perform other special projects or duties when required

Job requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent

  • Superior written and spoken communication skills in English (knowledge of additional languages would be an asset)

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships

  • Motivated with a proactive attitude

  • Results-driven, ability to work independently and take ownership

  • Good analytical skills needed to project revenues, monitor budgets and other necessary calculations

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Interest in Strategic Business Development and/or Client Services/Account Management as a long-term career path

  • Most importantly, the ideal candidate must demonstrate ability to: multitask in a fast-paced environment, work well with people from a variety of different backgrounds and cultures, build strategic relationships with clients and co-workers, work as part of a team, take active measures to solve problems and commit to a high level of service

  • Desirable: previous Sales/Business Development/Account Management experience (1 year)

  • Desirable: professional experience working with clients within the Life Sciences industry
