Account Manager – Financial Services

Position Summary
The Account Manager role is an entry-level sales position with additional marketing responsibilities. You will manage and grow a portfolio of existing accounts while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the Canadian financial services market. Success in this role requires strong relationship-building skills, consultative selling abilities, and a proactive mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a book of business aligned with your experience level, with responsibility for client retention and revenue growth (with manager support and oversight)
Identify and prospect new clients and target organizations for sales outreach
Present TransPerfect solutions in a consultative manner, focused on solving business challenges for financial services clients
Create client-facing documents including proposals, Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), and other deliverables to support account success
Collaborate with marketing to develop case studies, blog content, and other promotional materials for TransPerfect Financial Services Canada
Educate clients on our capabilities, including localization technology, AI-powered tools, multicultural marketing, and digital engagement solutions
Negotiate pricing, scopes of work, and timelines with new and existing clients
Coordinate with internal production teams to ensure timely, high-quality delivery
Stay informed on trends in banking, insurance, fintech, and multilingual customer experience
Job requirements
What We’re Looking For
Interest in or experience with strategic business development, client services, or account management
Strong relationship-building and communication skills
A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with excellent organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional service
Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events as needed
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Minimum Bachelor’s degree
Most importantly, the ideal candidate must demonstrate ability to: multitask in a fast-paced environment, work well with people from a variety of different backgrounds and cultures, build strategic relationships with clients and co-workers, work as part of a team, take active measures to solve problems and commit to a high level of service
