Position summary:
The Account Executive will drive new business development (approximately 70% of the role), identifying and securing enterprise-level Travel & Tourism clients — from initial prospecting through contract execution.
In parallel (30%), the role will serve as a strategic point of contact for an assigned portfolio of existing clients, focusing on expanding partnerships, introducing new AI-enabled and digital solutions, and increasing account value through consultative engagement.
This position focuses on global, enterprise-level Travel & Tourism organizations including airlines, hotel groups, cruise operators, destination brands, and travel technology providers. The role requires a commercially-driven professional capable of engaging Digital, Marketing, eCommerce, and Operational stakeholders in conversations around global growth, workflow modernization, and scalable content and technology solutions.
Position responsibilities:
Business Development (70%):
· Identify, prioritize, and strategically target Travel & Tourism organizations for enterprise outreach
· Generate new business through proactive prospecting, industry networking, digital outreach, and participation in trade events
· Lead consultative sales cycles from qualification through negotiation and contract execution
· Develop a deep understanding of client business models, digital maturity, and international growth strategies
· Position TransPerfect’s AI-enabled content, technology, and global solutions within broader digital transformation and operational initiatives
· Collaborate with Sales Leadership to structure and close complex, multi-service enterprise agreements
Account Growth & Client Management (30%):
· Serve as a strategic partner for assigned clients, aligning solutions with evolving business objectives
· Identify and drive upsell and cross-sell opportunities across AI-enabled workflows, technology platforms, and global services
· Partner closely with Production and Technology teams to ensure seamless execution and high client satisfaction
· Manage pricing strategy, contractual discussions, and revenue forecasting with Accounting teams
· Monitor account performance and proactively identify expansion opportunities
Essential skills & experience required:
· Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent
· Superior written and spoken communication skills in English
· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
· Proven ability to build, develop, and maintain long-term professional relationships
· Strong commercial acumen with a high sense of ownership and accountability
· Solid analytical skills, including revenue forecasting, margin assessment, and budget management
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
· Experience using CRM and sales intelligence platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Apollo, or similar tools)
· Ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
Desired skills & experience:
· Knowledge of additional languages at professional working proficiency (Catalan would be a big plus)
· Experience in Sales, Business Development, or Strategic Account Management
· Exposure to the Travel & Tourism industry (airlines, hospitality, cruise, travel tech, agencies, etc.)
· Familiarity with digital ecosystems, CMS platforms, eCommerce environments, or AI-enabled solutions
